and Charlie's story Hey! My name is Crystal and I'm 17 yrs old. I have been a volunteer with Caring Paws for about a year. I have a certified therapy dog named Charlie. He is a Siberian Husky. Charlie is a very sweet dog. He really enjoys interacting with people. I love taking Charlie for visits. Whenever the people see Charlie, their face's light up and just for a moment all their problems go away. They smile and talk to Charlie and tell him about their day. Charlie makes the people happy because he will just sit there and let them hug him, pet him, and shower him with love. He will lay down on his back and let the person talk about how beautiful he is. He is happy just to get love; he doesn't know how much he is making the person's day. Having a therapy dog is a great experience. You always leave knowing you made someone's day just a little brighter. For any teens who are interested in becoming involved, I would just like to say it's a experience you will never forget. Don't think just because you are younger you can't get involved. You can. :) ~* Crystal *~ |
